Andersonville: Earlier in the week it was Graham Elliot, now it’s Big Jones’s turn to show a newly reformatted menu to the masses. Ditching the normal appetizer-and-entree divisions, the menu is now divided in to five different sections: Butchers Block, Fish, Vegetables, Meats, and Sides. Click here to see it for yourself. River North: Like mac and cheese and electric cars? You’re in luck! On Monday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Merchandise Mart South Driveway, if you decide to test drive the Chevy Volt you can get a free order from The Southern Mac & Cheese Truck. We’re not sure how these two fit together, but we like it. [Grub Street]

Logan Square: To celebrate the launch of its new truck, Sweet Spot Macarons is hosting a launch party on October 6 from 8 to 10 p.m. at The Burlington. PBR’s are only $1 with the purchase of a macaron. [Grub Street]

River North: The Lobby in the Peninsula is now offering three-course “Market Dinners,” which will be available Sunday through Thursday. The dinner will cost $38 per person and will change weekly depending on what chef de cuisine Cyril Calmet finds from local and regional suppliers. Call 312-573-6695 for reservations.
