Mag Mile: David Burke’s Primehouse commemorates Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a pink specialty cocktail, the Ribbon-Tini. Devised by sommelier and mixologist Rachael Johnson Hussar, it’s a martini-based drink featuring Absolut Vanilla, Hum Liqueur, lime and champagne. $2 from each $13 cocktail will go to Bright Pink, a national non-profit organization that provides education and support to young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer.

Loop: And speaking of breast cancer awareness and very pink treats, Magnolia Bakery will donate 50 cents out of the $3.75 price for every Pink Ribbon Cupcake sold during the month of October.

River West: Kendall College will host a event for Olive Oil From Spain tonight from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, featuring olive oil expert Alfonso J. Fernandez. He will lead a tasting of four olive varieties, while tapas from Kendall College will be served. Tickets are $40 and all proceeds go to Common Threads; RSVP at commonthreads.org.

Naperville: BlackFinn American Saloon will team with the Naperville Fire Department to raise money for the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance Burn Camp, which offers kids with burn injuries a safe, non-self-conscious environment to enjoy outdoor fun. Members of Firefighters Local 4302 will be on hand to help with service as the restaurant offers $5 appetizers, a 50/50 raffle and donates 10% of the day’s sales to the burn camp.
