We will be one of the judges for the Holiday Rock & Roll event at Cafe des Architectes in the Sofitel Thursday night from 6 to 8, benefiting Share Our Strength. Chef Greg Biggers and pastry chef Patrick Fahy will be hosting a live version of a TV fancy cake show as a bunch of top pastry chefs and bakers set out to make the biggest, baddest Buche de Noel, the traditional holiday cake us provincials know as a Yule Log. Competitors are a pretty amazing bunch, including Amanda Rockman from The Bristol, Greg Mosko from North Pond, Elissa Narow from Perennial Virant, Michelle and Vinny Garcia from Bleeding Heart Bakery, Celeste Campisse from Spiaggia and Jove Hubbard from David Burke's Primehouse. $35 gets you in to watch the cake action and enjoy champagne and passed appetizers by Chef Greg Biggers, and it goes to a great cause.
