Purveyors of that uniquely dangerous and addictive substance, milk, will be attempting to sell it today. This is news? Well, the milk in question is raw milk, and as Mike Sula reported last week, a group called Raw Milk Freedom Riders will be thumbing their noses at state and federal bans on the deadly stuff by, first, transporting 100 gallons of it across state lines from Wisconsin, and holding a rally at 11:30 a.m. in Independence Park (3945 N. Springfield). There they plan to pass out raw milk and cookies, and there is also the warning that they will perform symbolic transactions of milk for money. Since the Feds have indicated that they’re leaving personal consumption alone (states have tended to be another matter), selling is more likely to provoke some sort of governmental response. Which is organizer Max Kane’s hope, as you can see in the video below, in which he informs the FDA of the group’s plans and invites them to show up. Will they?
