Now this is our idea of a toy drive. (And no, it isn’t The Admiral’s, where a wrapped toy gets you a free lap dance. Seriously.) Goose Island Brew Pub brewed four special holiday beers, but they’re only releasing them one at a time. How do you unleash the next one? By donating the toy that puts them another 25% of the way to collecting 100 toys for Chicago-area children. They passed 25 on December 9, which set loose their Coffee Milk Stout. 50 releases Dark Chocolate Coconut Porter, 75 opens the floodgates on Gingerbread Porter, and 100 will bust the chains on their Chocolate Peppermint Stout. Will they make it by December 23? Only way to make sure— get drinking! Besides helping set free the beers, for each toy you donate, you get a $5 voucher to the Clybourn brewpub.
