Restaurant and bakery e.Leaven will become the latest entrant into the food truck biz next week when it starts rolling with breakfast and lunch next Wednesday. As at the restaurant, the menu will range from sandwiches and soups to both sweet and savory baked goods, such as something called a “Aji-Braised Short Rib Piewich” which is, surprisingly, a breakfast item. No word on where exactly it will be stopping to dispense piewiches, but you can follow the e.Leaven Twitter feed which is, indeed, @eleaven.
Breakfast
-Aji-Braised Short Rib Piewich - short rib slowly braised in spicy pepper puree stuffed and baked in a puff pastry dough
-Roasted Vegetable Piewich - seasonal mix of roasted veggies stuffed and baked in a puff pastry dough
-Yogurt Parfait - layers of yogurt (plain or raspberry) and housemade granola
Sandwiches
-Turkey & Brie on Multigrain - roast turkey breast, sliced apple, brie and honey mustard, served on multigrain bread
-Italian on Ciabatta - capicola ham, mortadella, genoa salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion and red wine vinaigrette, served on ciabatta roll
-Southwestern Wrap - grilled chicken breast, romaine, corn, black beans, scallions, cheddar cheese, ranch and bbq sauce, served on a flour tortilla
Salads
-Chopped Mediterranean - romaine, chickpeas, croutons, capers, celery, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta, pepperoncini, red onion and red wine vinaigrette
-Baja - grilled chicken breast, cheddar cheese, black beans, scallions, corn, tomato, ranch and bbq sauce
Soups
-Matzo Ball Soup with a side roll
-Beef Chili with cheddar cheese, scallions and a side roll
Desserts
-Variety of Parisien Macarons including pistachio, cream cheese and raspberry
-Cake in a Cup - available in carrot and chocolate cake, served in a cup
-Rugelach - available in chocolate and raspberry
