Last we heard Publican Quality Meats was opening for bread this week and meat next week. Walk by it at 825 W. Fulton Market and you can see that that wasn’t gonna happen: there’s still retail stuff (products and equipment) arriving in boxes. So now we have the official word straight from the subject of Kevin Pang’s profile himself: Monday for meat, bread, Flo’s relish from Maine and everything else retail. A week from Monday— as in 2/13— for lunch in the cafe. Set your iPhone to remind you. And Meat Geek Alert: be sure to go to the bathroom downstairs while you’re there— you can peek in the meat storage walk-in on your way and see lots of gorgeous Slagel beef dry-aging right in front.
