Slow Food Chicago will have an annual meeting at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum this Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. At that time it will share its plans for the next year, including for its participation in the bi-annual Terra Madre Convivium in Italy, which draws Slow Foodists from all over the world. But that’s not all it will be sharing. Greg Hall, ex of Goose Island and now of Virtue Cider, and a past board member of Slow Food Chicago, will be offering the first taste of RedStreak cider, which is described as “a true, English-style draft cider” based on the heirloom apple of the same name, which dates back to 17th century Herefordshire.
