From the We-Had-A-Feeling-This-Was-Coming Dept. at Grub Street: we reported a couple of weeks ago on the new outpost that Devon Avenue Pakistani grilled meats favorite Khan BBQ was opening a couple of blocks west on the Indo-Pak food strip. At the time, it was set to be called Khan’s Pita Inn. The trouble is, there’s already a Pita Inn, or several of them on the north shore, a chain of middle eastern restaurants and bakeries. We got word from their attorney yesterday that an agreement has been reached for owner Amjad Khan to rename his place Khan’s Pita Grill. We give Pita Inn credit for resolving this in what appears to have been a reasonable manner (in other words, not trying to claim ownership of “pita,” the apostrophe-s, putting food on a flat bread, serving it warm, etc. etc.).
