The Lincoln Square spot that was home (briefly) to Delhi-6, Choi’s Sushi Roll and, if we recall correctly, Tinfish Theater (or something like that), is going to become a grilled cheese place called The Big Cheese, according to Mike Sula in the Reader. Grilled cheese-dedicated businesses are one of those things that sound good, but remain to be proven as a business concept. Sula would have liked to tell us more, and we would too, but as he notes, the business apparently agreed to “a gag order by another publication,” aka an exclusive so they’re foregoing the publicity that might actually start to build some anticipation now for the promise of a couple of lines from somebody later. (Hence the random cheese picture.) Nevertheless, at least Everyblock is buzzing about the place, and that’s probably the thing that will help them most— at least if like us, you suspect the potential customer base for grilled cheese is very close to home, and possibly still in its pajamas, anyway.
