Back in February we said Divan Turkish Kitchen’s closing wouldn’t keep the corner of 22nd and Carpenter streets dark for very long. And this morning comes word that SoWe, the neighborhood bistro from Nancy Law and Troy Barton that’s going to replace it, is set to open its doors next Monday (April 23). As previously mentioned, SoWe will have the obligatory roster of local and craft beers covered at the bar, as well as wine and cocktails. Output from the kitchen, which is being helmed by ¡Pasión! and Royal Tavern vet Maureen Stoebenau, will run the gamut from bar staples like chicken wings to familiar comforts like mac and cheese to more sophisticated offerings like market fresh fish entrees.

You can peep the entire bill of fare here.

Meanwhile, an all-new Divan that just opened across town near Sixth and Bainbridge streets, has some scratching their heads. Despite its name Divan Mediterranean Grill and the similarities between both restaurants logos, they are completely separate entities. Well, maybe not completely. The Insider reports that former Divan Turkish Kitchen chef Sadi Cetiner is one of the owners of Divan Mediterranean Grill, which means that there is in fact a connection between the two.
