What It’s Like To Attend a Kahan Barbecue

Paul Kahan gives off the feeling that if you’re one of his guys (or gals), you are one of his guys. We got that shooting at Blackbird long ago, and we got it in the Anthony Bourdain Chicago episode, which ended in Kahan’s backyard for a party with his staff… you know, the one that made you wonder what it would take to get your boss to invite you over for a party and cook for and serve you all night. David Tamarkin has a piece in Bon Appetit about what a party chez Kahan is like, that also includes a relatively rare example of Kahan recipes in print for such things as Country-Style Ribs with Quick-Pickled Watermelon and Dilly New Potato Salad with Summer Sausage.
