For at least the next few months, the sweetest words in a Chicagoan’s vocabulary could be “rooftop lounge.” Perched 18 stories up at the top of the 1925 Raffaello Hotel on Delaware, this chic lounge features two fireplaces and built-in seating (they didn’t just throw some chairs up there) for its not-too-high setting that puts you on an intimate scale with the buildings of Mag Mile. There’s a whisky and bourbon-focused cocktail program by mixologist Benjamin Newby (The Underground), and small plates from Chef Mauro Mafrici of Pelago.
