If you’ve ever tucked into a plate of blistered shishito peppers, soft tofu, or sublime chicken wings at Kasadela in the East Village, you’ll likely be saddened to hear that the tiny Japanese bar was damaged extensively by Hurricane Sandy. The nine-year-old restaurant’s owners are now raising funds to repair their gas line, replace damaged equipment, restore the now-warped dining room floor, and restart the hot sake service.
