Per the previous report, AOC, after ten years of success on Third Street, will relocate to the Il Covo space. Today, it announced the final meal to be served at 8022 W. 3rd will be on New Years Eve. First Campanile, now AOC. Where shall a complacent woman go for a meal in Mid-City these days? [GS]
The efforts last year to save Henry’s Taco, including the Googie sign, was a complete waste. Not only did the landlord not maintain the current level of rent, s/he refused to sign a new lease with Henry’s possible buyers. LA Observed reports the closure is imminent and includes owner Janis Hood’s sob story. Quick, someone check in with Jeff Miller to see if he has cut himself with a hard taco shell.
