You may have heard that chicken-wing prices are up to an all-time high of $2.11 per pound. Since the Super Bowl is this weekend, and desperate times call for desperate measures, it sort of makes sense that two men pulled off a brazen, high-stakes theft of $65,000-worth of frozen Tyson chicken wings from the cold storage facility where they worked in Doraville, Georgia.

The two men allegedly backed a truck up to its loading dock at noon on January 12, loaded five pallets’ worth of wings, and then drove off. The wing robbers were arrested last week and released the same day on a $2,950 bond. The suspects may now be cage-free, but there’s “no word on the whereabouts of the wings,” according to a police spokesperson, who probably added they were following up on a tip that 4,000 pounds of celery sticks had just gone missing from a local produce warehouse.
