Win Tickets To Cheese Author Signing & Wine Cheese Pairing at City Winery

We met Kirstin Jackson on a Wisconsin cheese tour a few years ago; the difference between us and her was that she actually knew something about Wisconsin cheese before going on the tour. A California native, she had a blog called It’s Not You, It’s Brie, which recently became the book of the same name— and she’ll be in Chicago next week for a series of events in which she’ll talk about and taste American cheeses and share her common-sense, here’s-how-to-find-what-you-like approach to appreciating the great American growth in artisan cheeses in recent years. And we’ve got tickets for one of them: on Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m., she’ll be doing a book signing and cheese and wine pairing at pairing five wines with five cheeses at City Winery. It’s $55 (including wine, cheese and a copy of the book), but tweet hashtag #itsnotyouitsbriegrubstreet and we’ll give one lucky winner a pair of tickets, book included.

On Wednesday she’ll be at Provenance in Lincoln Square from 4 to 5:30 for a signing, followed by an event at The Chopping Block where she’ll cook two recipes from the book (such as Marieke Gouda Toffee) and a couple of others. And Thursday she’ll be at the opening market at Fete Chicago.
