On May 1, the MileNorth replaces recently closed C-House with a more casual Chicago concept serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Ferris & Jack is named for two Chicago icons, the Ferris Wheel and Cracker Jack, both making their debut at Chicago’s 1893 World’s Fair. Heidi Edinger, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing, says the new restaurant will appeal to locals looking for more affordable, everyday dining. Chef Deborah Burka, former sous chef for C-House, will serve dishes including mustard-dill meatloaf, baby back ribs, and a chocolate pudding trio. The 64-seat dining room will also include a grab-and-go marketplace and coffee bar serving Starbucks. [Crain’s] A full menu follows after the jump.
