Veggie Dogs Coming To Wrigley; Gozer To Roast Many Zuuls

Not a vegetarian dog, but vegetables are involved!
Not a vegetarian dog, but vegetables are involved!

When you think baseball, you think soy-based vegetable protein in cylindrical form on a bun, right? That’s the plan as Wrigley Field, which has ranked on PETA’s “most vegetarian-friendly” stadiums list, continues to destroy the American way of life with vegetarian meats spawned straight from the depths of the Slor. And they think the Cubs are under a curse now! Okay, maybe we’re overreacting. Let’s start again. In an all-American quest to bring more choices to the ballpark dog consumer, concessionaire Levy Restaurants and Wrigley Field will offer vegetarian hot dogs, which we’re sure taste just as good as meat-based ones, to add to their vegetarian offerings which already include a veggie burger and a barbecued tempeh sandwich. Other vendors to be added this year include Uncle Dougie’s barbecue sauces (goes great on tempeh) and Bloody Mary mixes, and Dippin’ Dots, which apparently just beamed in from 1998. [DNAInfo]
