It’s a big week for food-media shake-ups: A day after the world learned that Chris Kimball will leave America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Illustrated, Dana Cowin has announced Tuesday morning that she’s stepping down as editor-in-chief of Food & Wine, the magazine she’s edited for more than two decades.

Cowin’s next role, according to a release sent out earlier today, will be as the chief creative officer of the Food & Wine–affiliated Chefs Club, which has restaurants in Manhattan and Aspen that host a rotating cast of chefs for special dinners. (The New York location recently welcomed Laurent Gras, for example.) Here’s what Cowin says in the release: “Chefs Club has pioneered a new kind of restaurant where the imaginative cooking of the world’s greatest chefs can be experienced in one place — from California’s David Kinch of Manresa to Hong Kong’s Jowett Yu of Ho Lee Fook. I’m honored to have the chance to bring new and compelling talents to the Chefs Club kitchen and share their stories.”

Meanwhile, at Food & Wine Cowin will stay on through January and, according to a report in the Times, “will assist in recruiting her successor.”
